Workshop Details

This two-day course emphasizes the professional journey of mastering locs and will highlight the artistry and technical skill involved.  It captures the idea of not only learning beginner and advanced techniques, but also appreciating the cultural and aesthetic significance of Locs.

Learn the skills and techniques necessary to increase your revenue, all while embracing the journey of cultivating and enhancing the Craft, Celebrate the Creation.

  • Latch Loc

  • One and Two Prong Instaloc Tool

  • Rattail Comb (2)

Hands-On Practice

Shampooing & Treating

Learn how to set yourself up for success with proper bowl work, including cleansing and treating of the hair.

Foundational & Advanced Locking Knowledge

Learn 6 traditional starter loc techniques in addition to more advanced technical knowledge covering microlocs, creative loc styling, loc extensions, and more.

Repair & Create

Learn how to incorporate loc extension and repair services to your menu, and develop your artist eye for creative loc styling.

Artistry Development

Learn with your hands through guided hands-on practice on all techniques covered during the work shop.

The loc workshop is a deep dive into loc education and various techniques for traditional locs, micro locs, advanced styling,  creative loc styling, and more. These techniques, if taught individually, would total well over $4,000.00. Our two-day comprehensive course is being offered for a limited time at the cost of:

PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are available, starting with a non-refundable deposit of $100 to hold your seat due by July 31st. After deposit is made, the following payment schedule will take effect:

Meet your Instructors

Teeonna Thompson

Hello I'm Tee, a licensed cosmetologist and salon owner with over 20 years of experience in loc maintenance. As a Loctician and a product formulator I am dedicated to helping grow and nurture my clients hair. This led me to create an anti itch hair growth oil specifically for travel so your hair and scalp can always be cared for. Locs By Tee is a handmade Black-owned business created to disprove those myths of our black hair can't grow wrong .

I am passionate about developing upcoming and aspiring natural hair stylists, lending my extensive experience to help them develop their craft into a successful natural hair care business.

Meet your Instructors

Anita Hill Moses

Anita Hill Moses is a wife, a licensed Cosmetology Instructor, a Loctician, a 30 year full service Natural Hair salon owner, product developer, and one of the nation’s leading authorities on hair loss. Her professional career began in Brooklyn, NY at Designer Braids and Trade. She is the owner of Richmond Virginia's 1st full service Natural Hair salon,  B.A.D – Braids and Dreds, Inc., which opened for business on July 1, 1995.

 

Anita has trained over 45% of the natural hair care professionals in the city of Richmond and has assisted individuals, not only in Richmond, but across the country in establishing their own businesses. She has taught at various Natural Hair Care Expo’s, retreats, and symposiums around the country. In addition to her roles as a salon owner and product developer, she currently serves as Executive Director of The Master Pioneer Award and Project Manager for The Natural Hair Industry Convention.

 

Anita is dedicated to God, her family, and her industry. Her motto “Don’t Be Discouraged but Be Encouraged” is displayed daily; not only in her day to day business dealings, but more importantly in her day to day life.  Anita Hill Moses, her passion is in her initials - AHM (Aiding, Helping, Motivating).
